Olympic logo competion

If the winner city for the 2016 Olympic games were chosen in terms of their logo Madrid will be the winner with Tokyo just behind it. Madrid's hand is very strong and easy to recognize image. Madrid and Tokyo both show the temperament of their countries. Rio has basically a nice logo but the previous two are just better.
Chicago's logo is really a very bad logo, unattractive, weak and boring. If they are going to keep this logo I prefer they not to win.

Dutch street symbols and design

Damrak, Amsterdam

A candy store at an old bank building /
A games hall at an old art deco building

A forgotten trash can in the middle of the busiest street in The Netherlands / Leave your (home) trash here.

Iconic: Amsterdam and bicycle symbols

A more beautiful but unreadable word in the first example as it lacks the small white squares saying: trash.

The not so new bicycle taxi

This film symbol is completely outdated. Young people have to learn 'reading' the meaning.

Creativity rights

"Chinese are confused and instead of Copyright they call it the right to copy".

Who is at the end the owner of an idea or an image? The author of the famous photo of "El Che Guevara", Alberto Korda never saw any money from it (or little). The world owns the image now, it is as iconic as the face of a Buda.

The powerful poster created for the Obama campaign by Shepard Fairy had been copied and reinterpreted. What does the author or the Obama team thinks of it? Will they sue those copying?
I found this collection of some reinterpretations in the Volkskrant this morning.
