These two first photo's taken by Hector Garcia (Kirai) in Tokyo remind me of some of Harmen de Hoop's work about the public space as art or performance stage. Last three photo's are Harmen de Hoop's.
On Hector Garcia's case he makes the observation. He records it.
De Hoop thinks that this could have had happen. It happened!

About sport facilities and the art

I just received this picture from the Sharjah Biennial and of course it made me thing of Harmen de Hoop's work.

This last one is a work by the Mexican Damien Ortega. I don't know what is the relation of the (sport) like lines in the performance but it reminds me of the other works.

Hoogtij 16

Last friday I was only able to visit 3 of the galleries of Hoogtij in The Hague:



The trendy Liefhertje en De Grote Witte Reus had work of Nadine Stijns en Karin Mientjes.

Gallery West with Harmen de Hoop new photo work.
I was the last visitor and even the next door cafe had no smokers anymore.
