Concert or birthday party?

Three beauties: Milena, Natasa and Daniela.

As Daniela sings, sister and mother are very moved.
Left Milena, right their mother.

Bernardo Solano with Daniela

Bernardo Solano with Daniela
Natasa Solano celebrated her birthday to be able to convince her beautiful daughter to sing for her. So there we were, filling the small patched chapel in the old center of The Hague, family and friends of Natasa accompanying her on the enjoyment to hear her daughter Daniela Solano singing.
Not only the proud parents Natasa and Bernardo, were happy to hear her, we all were, and we know she will be soon better and better.

Bernardo and Natasa Solan, me.

Last day, first day
Yesterday was his last day at the football team and it was the first time I saw him playing at the HVV E7 team from the Hague. I can not regret I was not there before, but they were nice people as I thought and the team was complete as it hat not been in weeks. With the only group photo at least I can contribute to their visual history and remind me from what I probably missed...

Coming Friday is the long awaited day
Husband and child had been counting the days to leave to Thailand while I had been enjoying their excitement.
It is going to be my third trip to Thailand, all together 3 months from the first two visits, so in a way I know what to expect but on the other hand I am a bit afraid of knowing much. How am I going to keep the balance between the known and the unknown? At the end I am also conscious that it is going to be full with excitement and new experiences.
Hans and Gabriel are looking forward to sun and sea, for me, I can't wait to enjoy a delicious street meal.
Keep posted,
Marisa

Cruel irony
The son of the yesterday-appointed head of the Dutch military General Peter van Uhm was one of two soldiers killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan early this Friday.
A military spokesman said there was no evidence to indicate that 23-year-old Dennis van Uhm was specifically targeted in the explosion. He was a first lieutenant.
Two more Dutch soldiers were wounded in the blast. One was in a critical condition.

Not even a day after being appointed as Dutch Military head chief is his own son killed in this so much questioned mission.
What is it on his mind? Would this make him think other wise?

As I saw this photo on internet I knew it was Thailand. The ugly complexity and nearly arty cables provoqued me some nostalgia.
