The son of the yesterday-appointed head of the Dutch military General Peter van Uhm was one of two soldiers killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan early this Friday.
A military spokesman said there was no evidence to indicate that 23-year-old Dennis van Uhm was specifically targeted in the explosion. He was a first lieutenant.
Two more Dutch soldiers were wounded in the blast. One was in a critical condition.
Not even a day after being appointed as Dutch Military head chief is his own son killed in this so much questioned mission.
What is it on his mind? Would this make him think other wise?
