MUAC's first exhibition part 1

Muac, with the old Tamayo sculpture and the park original landscape.

Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC), Mexico City.
On my last day in Mexico I went to visit the new museum in the National University campus. It is even better than what we thought: starting with a magnificent architecture in the middle of a volcanic and cultural park. The art most of it very good, young and international.
Just after one month of its opening it was full of visitors, museum workers told me that they received between 2 to 3 thousand visitors a day. We will see what happens after they start charging from 1st of January. I expect there would be at least once a week free entrance.

Marta Palau, huge and soft.

Robert Morris behind Juan Francisco Elso's hart

Semefo plus detail. Always about the death.

Robert Long

Calimocho Styles

Teresa Margolles, blankets that covered killed criminals when they were brought to the morgue.

Mario Garcia Torres, excellent artist. This work I saw three years ago in Venice.

Pipilotti Rist, one of my favorite artists, with work I had never guessed it was hers.
