De goedzak / The well meant bag

DOEN | Materiaalprijs 2010 introduces the designs of the future. A new work that reveals fresh approaches to a way of designing that helps to shape a better, more sustainable society.

Saturday 23 October the jury announced the two winners. Claudy Jongstra won the price of for Waste Materials. Simon Akkaya won the second price for De Goedzak (The Good Bag) a special garbage bag for usable items. You are welcome to visit the exhibition untill 31 October at the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven.

Everyone throws away items that can still be used, and useful to, someone else. Objects disposed of in the garbage bag along with the rest of the household waste. The Good Bag is a simple solution: a distinctive refuse bag with a transparent window so people can see what is inside. And if no-one wants the contents, the bag is simply collected by the garbage collection team together with the other rubbish.

And of course you can re-use The Good Bag.
