Binckhorst, The Hague

In the times I went to the Royal Academy of The Hague we moved to an annex in Binckhorst, a section of the city that was leaving its industrial past for a new future. There were enough places to buy kitchens but not a single snack bar to get a sandwich.
Many years after it is getting somewhere, there are artists and designers ateliers, theater and hip hop centers, and even an art fair since three years ago. Arti 09 is a lot better that its luckily deceased kitsch predecessor Holland Art Fair. Arti 09 is also better than the previous years but still has a long way to go. Hopefully some of the better galleries will join and maybe a stand for Hoogtij, the alternative art circuit of the city.
The location, the Fokker Terminal is a perfect place for a fair, I wonder if the building is going to be kept.
