Talking about art and not the artist

Symposium Allies or opposites organized by the Vereniging Rembrandt at the Rabobank offices in Utrecht.
There was a lot of talk between museum directors, private collectors and collectors for company collections. A full day of talk,
-where the directors expressed their desperation on collectors who buy bad art or do not leave their art works for 'their' museums.
-where collectors feel left alone by the establishment (meaning the museums not being very kind to them).
-where they talked about the art works as if they were made by god, no mentioning of the artists but their "Marlene Dumas" or their "Van Goghs". Huge collections, lots of money involved, talking about the importance for the country, etc. Nothing about the artists (ok, nearly).
