Award sculptures

Award sculptures and business' art gifts.

It is probably a reduced art niche but still visible. I just read the news of Marloes Eerden making the Women in Science Award. Why are these sculptures or coins often portraiting the 'human being' with a far searched philosophical definition? Why the awards have to be made inspired by human figures holding symbols, searching the horizon, extending love, etc, etc.? As Eerden said: "it is no man, no woman just the human being". Simplifying the human figure have many roads. Why not get inspired in a less rational way and just making an attractive, artistic, permanent sculpture that people would love to place at their chimney mantel?

Right: the award.
